formerly king lugh of the tuatha dé danann; high king of old ireland from 1870–1830 BC. evolved into the irish king suibhne who was cursed by st. ronan to madness & wandering. piggybacked his followers in going to america, where capitalist mascots have eventually rendered him nigh-immortal and preternaturally lucky, but at the cost of losing his actual believers. aforementioned luck got shot in the foot once he lost his lucky coin.
